The individual time trial on the first day of the 2018 Tour was in Jerusalem, the first international professional bike race in Israel and the first Grand Tour stages outside Europe. I never imagined I would ever be able to walk up the road from my home and photograph the colour, excitement, and action of a Grand Tour. These pictures show the focus and determination required for a time trial on narrow city streets
The 2018 Giro was won by Chris Froome, his third consecutive Grand Tour, after a dramatic break on stage 19 and holding off his rivals on stage 20.
